R-TYPE DX: Music Encore

In the year 220X, humanity encountered a lifeform from another dimension — the Bydo. Survival or extinction. The R-9 fighter, equipped with the ultimate weapon known as the Force, is deployed. Though seemingly defeated after a fierce battle, the Bydo return from beyond the dimensional rift. The war continues from the First Bydo Mission (R-TYPE) to the Second Bydo Mission (R-TYPE II). R-TYPE DX: Music Encore features the ultimate mode, Ultimate Challenge, allowing players to battle through both titles seamlessly. For the first time, this mode includes a full soundtrack. Arcade-accurate stage themes have been newly implemented — including dedicated tracks for areas that originally shared music — enabling every stage to be played with the same musical structure as the arcade versions. Experience newly reconstructed sound created using authentic handheld hardware audio. The original R-TYPE and R-TYPE II are also included. In Classic mode, players can choose between monochrome and color versions, preserving the feel of the original release.
